Transformation

Hello Total Health Fitness Family! Today is a beautiful day, September 21, 2020. The beauty of this day lies in our perception of it. Today during my 4:15 a.m. prayer session, God challenged me to allow my trouble to transform me. In fact, I am on a transformation journey and today marks day #2. You may wonder why I need transformation. Well, I know that my old way of thinking and approaching life's problems need a re-do. They worked in the past sometimes and sometimes they did not. However, I am living this for the Lord and want to approach every issue God's way. This way He is glorified and in the end I always win.

Transformation Day #2- "Allowing my trouble to transform me." I am committed to be quick to listen and slow to speak. When I am asked a question or put in a circumstance I am uncomfortable with, I will delay my answer until God tells me to speak. Often when He does the words are few. 

I challenge you family to give this a try, especially in life's issues that prompt you to feel as though you just don't know what to do. That is when He steps in :).

Hello Total Health Fitness Family. Now is a time to thank God for health and pray for those with health challenges. As a medical doctor practicing Internal Medicine for over 6 years I can truly say that medicine is changing. We are up to the task and challenges the COVID19 virus has produced. I am a front line worker and have managed to continue to practice medicine in an uncompromising way. Please know, we are here for you. Do not lose sight of your goals this year. Community Day

Yesterday, Total Health Fitness was an exhibitor at Community Day, a production of Morehouse School of Medicine. What a wonderful opportunity it was to engage members of our community and friends of our network. We provided education and fitness exercising tips along with  nutrition to hundreds of participants in Atlanta, Ga.

Over the past several years, Total Health Fitness has grown tremendously in the social realm, impacting the lives we touch daily in our local churches, civic organizations and community. Look for pictures of some of our networking events to be uploaded soon. Cheers to the staff at Total Health Fitness for making this year's Community Day an event to remember!

Just think, if we all had the capability to renew ourselves we would do so everyday. In actually we can. Here at Total Health Fitness we believe in self affirmation to create the best you. This meaans daily encouragement, positive motivation and coaching to get you through some of the hardest times in life. Never feel you have to live this life alone. There is ALWAYS help. Often during physical stress,the body's natural response is to preserve what remains. Therefore cortisol levels rise which increases sodium and glucose in the blood which can affect you mind, emotions and health. Often this stimulates a person to over eat.


Remember, you control what you eat. Here at total health fitness we believe exercise is 20% fitness while nutrition is 80% fitness. Give us a call today to learn more. Your best you is staring at you in the mirror. Keep pushing for the total health- optimal wisdom, health and strength.:)

Fitness is 80% nutrition! Thats right; it does not matter how many hours we perfect our physique with cardiovascular work outs and muscle toning, our nutrition plays the biggest role in defining our body. This means we can accomplish total health with proper nutrition. You may be wondering what is the best nutrition to attain your goals? Remember, 5-7 servings of high fiber vegetables including tomatoes, carrots, lettuce, low sodium pickles, celery, green onions should be included in our daily foods ( I did not say diet because this has to become a lifestyle in order for it to work).

Be patient with yourself; if you are coming off of a high fat diet saturated in sugar, starch and other unhealthy elements this will take time to allow your taste buds to grow for this. Once you make the necessary adjustments to your meals, you will see this will become easier day by day.

Relax, let go and trust that our natural foods have produced everything we need to heal our bodies. We all truly can live in total health fitness.

Cardiovascular disease is the number one killer among all genders. This is why prevention is important. Weight loss can reduce risk factors for heart disease, specifically hypercholesterolemia. Furthermore, weight loss can in some instances cure someone from diabetes which is itself a coronary artery disease equivalent. This means having diabetes equals heart disease. Think about this and give your thoughts.
